Donna Beecher

Senior Warden

Donna Beecher “found” St. John’s the first Sunday she visited Naples in 2013. She sings in the choir, teaches Godly Play, participates in Bible studies, enjoys FOYERS dinner groups, helps with Vacation Bible School, is a part of our Good News Club at Gulf Coast Charter elementary school, and has served on the Vestry since 2017.

“Off campus” she is a children’s teacher in the Naples class of Community Bible Study.] Donna’s personal goals for St. John’s are engagement of more parishioners in our various ministries and alignment of our ministries to our strategic mission. To that end she is coordinating Minutes for Ministry: an opportunity for lay leaders to invite seasonal and year-round members to experience the joy serving the Lord here and beyond.

Before moving to Naples, Donna was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes, Delaware, where she served on the vestry and chaired the music committee. She worked for the federal government in Washington, DC and retired in 2002 as Director of Human Resources Management for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

She has a bachelor’s degree from Drew University, a masters of public administration from Syracuse University and a certificate in executive coaching from George Washington University. She and her husband “Beech” have two children and three grandchildren. She enjoys watercolor, reading, cooking and playing SCRABBLE and Mahjongg.
